A New Background, A New Beginning

In order to drum up more fanfictioning and less blogging, a contest is beginning now. This contest is to decide the color of our new background for the month of August as a tie-in with Across the Second Dimension: A non-blue Alternate Dimension Fanon. How do you enter this contest, you ask? You must write a story, that's what. But not just any story, it must be a new story, written sometime between now and July 31st. You can write about anything that you like, as long as it starts and finishes in July. The judging shall take place between August 1st and August 5th. On August 5th, the winner shall choose the color of the background from a preselected approved list. This story, as a reminder must be new, you cannot enter an old story.
