David Mackintosh is a four-year-old boy who is September Mackintosh's younger brother. He looks much like his sister, sharing her eye and hair colors, but in their personalities they are farther apart than the sky and the earth.

September has a loud, say-what-I-like, do-what-I-want kind of personality, whereas David is very shy and always follows the rules, at least before he meets Irving. Irving, when he meets the mild-mannered David, is horrified to hear that he has never broken a rule and makes it his personal job to teach David 'the finer parts of life'.  After that David begins to open up a bit and becomes less wary of breaking rules. He also becomes less dependent on September, as opposed to clinging to her every time she is forced to babysit him, which is what he does at first. She expresses that she prefers it this way because he never really wanted to do anything fun because it might break the rules.

David almost never speaks at first, much like Ferb, but after spending time with Irving, he begins to speak a bit more.

David is a two feet, five inches four year old with brown hair and light green eyes. He usually wears a red shirt with white stripes, blue shorts, and red sneakers. He also has lots of freckles.

Quotes[]

" September: So what are you guys doing today?

Phineas: Building the ultimate birdhouse.

David: Isn't that against the rules?

September: Finally, he speaks. No, David, they do this every day. Sorry, guys. He's never really broken any rules.

Irving: WHAT?

September: I said he's never broken a rule.

Irving: Hey, Albert, I found your exact opposite!

Albert: Shut up. They couldn't prove I set that fire."
