Phineas and Ferb Fanon

Perseus Flynn sat in his bedroom, unable to sleep. Lightning cracked like a whip across the night sky. The thunder was so loud that it almost broke his eardrums. The rain was leaking in through a hole in the roof, and Perseus was getting wet.

He tossed and turned in his bed and sighed. Why couldn't he just get to sleep? Perseus pulled his blanket over his head in an attempt to block out the rain. It didn't work. Lightning flashed and thunder rolled. He grabbed some headphones and played some music. Nothing could block out the sound or the rain.

Suddenly, his daughter, Candace, toddled into the room. "Candace, why aren't you asleep?" he asked wearily. "Daddy, I'm scared," she squeaked out, shivering with fear. "It's okay, Candy," he said, pulling her close. "There's nothing to be afraid of."

"But Daddy, it's so... loud! And the lightning is so bright! It's scary!" Candace said, tears rolling down her face. "Don't cry, Candace, it's okay. It'll be all right. The lightning is just... the sun's tears. And the thunder is the sound of the angels bowling," Perseus said, hugging his daughter. Just then, the thunder boomed so loud that it shook the room a bit. "I bet that angel got a strike," Candace said, giggling. "Yes. Yes, it did," Perseus smiled.
